In case you didn’t know, now you do: the Nike Dunkwave is officially back in full swing. If Travis Scott’s upcoming effort on the SB Low didn’t cement that claim then this surely will: Nike has officially revealed plans to re-issue the Japan-exclusive Dunk Low “Plum” from 2001’s Ugly Duckling pack.
It was but one of three famed pairs from the illustrious pack, revered for its warm purple and red palate — so much so that Nike SB dropped them as a fat-tongued high back in 2011. But here we see what appears to be a 1:1 remake — without the wild aftermarket pricetags. News of the pair was revealed low-key on the official Nike website earlier today, styled in a theme that mimics catalogs from the Asian nation in the mid-90s. Through that, it was revealed that pairs will be dropping as a Nike SNKRS exclusive on February 7th for a decent price point of $110. It’s unclear if the pack’s accompanying “Ceramic” and “Veneer” pairs will also release but hey, one’s better than none, right?
