New Silhouette Inbound With The Nike Fontanka Edge

The Nike design team has always been at the forefront of innovation and creativity when coming up with new concepts in an attempt to remain fresh and bring new customers over to the swoosh way of life. Now, seemingly out of nowhere, a new player emergers dubbed the Nike Fontanka Edge with futuristic stylings and hyped aesthetics.

Not much is known about this new mysterious silhouette, but from the outset one can’t help but wonder about the many muses the creators used as inspiration to come up with the design, but with the name “Fontanka” it’s possible it could have Russian origins. Breaking down the shoe we can see a tonal black mesh upper with synthetic overlays on the toe cap, lace stays, and swoosh. Neoprene and plastics surround the heel for added support with leading lines down to the blacked-out midsole unit that highlights ZoomX tech and unique aesthetics, adding the grip when it’s needed is black rubber outer sole that displays an unusual wavey footprint and multiple branding. Completing the design and adding the only splashes of color is the trio of yellow, red, and blue swooshes on the heel and the marble-like insoles.
