Nike's commitment to its Move To Zero initiative, which aims to achieve zero waste and zero carbon emissions, is embodied in the groundbreaking design of the ISPA Link Axis. This innovative sneaker, first introduced in 2022 and set to debut in August 2024, challenges conventional footwear manufacturing processes by emphasizing sustainability without compromising on style or function.

The Nike ISPA Link Axis is a testament to Nike's pursuit of circular solutions. It is constructed entirely without glue, a decision that reduces the production of new materials and simplifies the recycling process. Each shoe component can be separated into four distinct parts, making it easier to disassemble and recycle at the end of its lifecycle.

The design of the ISPA Link Axis is as thoughtful as it is environmentally conscious. The upper, made from Flyknit, is engineered to fit precisely over the outsole and is crafted from recycled TPU sourced from scrap airbags. This meticulous engineering ensures the shoe maintains high performance while significantly reducing material waste.
