Arguably the most anticipated debut signature sneaker of Nike Basketball’s next generation of talent, Ja Morant’s Nike JA 1 has quickly risen to the top of people’s priority list. With DNA similar to the Kobe and Kyrie lines — both of which no longer produce new models — it’s easy to see why. The market-preferred low-cut, responsive Zoom Air cushioning underfoot and lightweight uppers align with the aforementioned signature lines. Add to that Morant’s exciting on-court play and larger-than-life personality, and you’ve got a bonafide best-seller. His debut “Day One” colorway will be first to release.
Centered around a predominant “Cobalt Bliss” construct, the pair’s supporting features are both bold and intriguing. From solid “Citron Tint” midsoles and “Medium Soft Pink” outsoles to gradient TPU Swoosh overlays and 12:AM graphic heels, the pair has enough color, pop, and intricate detail to counter the fairly straightforward forefoot. The pair is then completed by JA-branded leather tongues, “Midnight Series” motifs on the heel, and mismatched underfoot branding.
Grab an official look at the pair below, and expect to see and learn more about the Nike JA 1 “Day One” as we approach its April 19th release. As always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
