As the summer heats up, the courts of Augusta, Georgia, are set to sizzle with the nation's best high school basketball talents competing in Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL). The tournament serves as a crucible for young sports stars and a showcase for some of Nike's premier on-court designs. One design that will make a splash this year is the newly unveiled Nike Ja 1 "EYBL."
In the official images, the striking silhouette of the Nike Ja 1 "EYBL" is bathed in a "Melon Tint" hue, reminiscent of fresh, juicy cantaloupe. This color choice imbues the shoe with a vibrant, summer-ready look, contrasted by jet-black elements highlighting the EYBL logo and setting a dynamic backdrop for the purple and teal tongue logos.
A departure from the usual monochrome aesthetic, the jet-black hue extends to the collar lining and the speckled midsole, creating a bold canvas that brings the "Rush Fuchsia" Swooshes and marbled heel detailing to the fore. The pastel-infused color palette is rounded off by the return of the teal tone, which brightens the front half of the sole unit.
Set to release on Nike.com on July 25, the Nike Ja 1 "EYBL" will retail at $120.
