The full extent of Nike Basketball's plans for Chinese New Year 2026 have yet to be revealed, but pairs from the Year of the Horse-celebrating collection have begun surfacing via unofficial channels.
Recently, Instagram user @prm.cotd provided the world a first-look of the commemorative Nike Ja 3. Clad in a "Light Chocolate/Silt Red/Metallic Gold" color scheme, the pair sees the boldest of the aforementioned hues take over most of the sole unit and JA-shaped overlays across the upper. Rip-reminiscent details along the profiles opt for a brown finish that also takes over laces, inner-lining, and tongues. The top-of-the-tongue indulges in a faux pony hair makeover that nods to the Chinese zodiacal character while elevating the popular hoops shoe.
Elsewhere, Ja Morant's signature design features a shimmering golden swoosh on the lateral profile and a popular Chinese idiom (一马当先) on the footbed that translates into "One horse leading the way."
