Ja Morant Honors Time with Murray State Racers with this Nike Ja 3

Although Nike Basketball is obsessed with developing pinnacle expressions of performance footwear, it's consistently looking at ways to tell stories. Ja Morant's signature sneaker line has been replete with thematic makeovers inspired by the NBA guard's personal life. A newly-surfaced Nike Ja 3 commemorates his time with the Murray State Racers.

Instagram user @prm.cotd recently provided the world an early look at the popular hoops model in a "Pure Platinum/Lightning/Dusty Cactus/Deep Royal Blue" color scheme. The bold look animates the busy build with tones that reference the Kentucky-based university's signature tones. Asymmetrical presentations take over right and left shoes, with a matte silver-reminiscent hue interrupting the Racers-friendly ensembles.

Morant played with Murray State in the late 2010s, becoming a consensus first-team All-American as a sophomore.
