Kevin Durant may be off the court for the season, but his presence continues to be felt through his latest signature shoe, the Nike KD 17. As we've come to expect from the KD line, the shoe isn't shy about embracing bold themes, with several "Producer Pack" colorways already making waves, while a simple White/Pink colorway has been the talk of social media. Next on the roster is the KD 17 "Penny"—aka "Orlando"—set to drop on May 24th.
While the blue and black color treatment resembles the original Penny, the KD 17 distinguishes itself with cracked Swoosh logos on the medial sides, clearly nodding to its muse. The design integrates TPU overlays that feature a striking blue-to-black gradient, mimicking the style of the Air Max Plus. This is juxtaposed against a clean white leather and mesh base that keeps the overall aesthetic crisp and focused. Completing the ensemble is a black sock lining paired with a soft baby blue outsole that adds a subtle pop of color.
