Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 19 is getting one of its darkest looks yet, with a new “Candy Paint Black” colorway set to release later this month.
The upcoming pair dresses Durant’s latest signature model almost entirely in black, leaning heavily into the KD 19’s sculpted construction. A glossy molded shell wraps around the upper and heel, while black mesh fills the tongue and collar to break up the otherwise uniform finish. Tonal Swooshes are worked into the sides, keeping branding subtle against the monochromatic build.
The all-black treatment also makes some of the KD 19’s smaller details easier to spot. Durant’s logo appears on the tongue, while a molded “7” is incorporated into the heel. Green KD branding on the insoles provides one of the only flashes of color on the pair.
It’s a fitting look for a player long associated with the “Slim Reaper” nickname, giving Durant’s latest signature sneaker a stripped-back colorway that lets the model’s shape do most of the talking.
The Nike KD 19 “Candy Paint Black” is scheduled to release on August 19, 2026, for $155 through Nike.com and select retailers.
