Kevin Durant’s next chapter with Nike Basketball officially begins in purple.
The Nike KD 19 “Purple Stuff” is set to release on June 17, giving Durant’s 19th signature model its first true rollout in a colorway that leans fully into the shoe’s futuristic shape. Following early looks at tonal pink, red, and orange editions, this debut pair keeps the same single-color approach, dressing the molded upper, tongue, laces, lining, midsole, and outsole in a rich purple finish.
The colorway does a lot of heavy lifting here. With the Nike KD 19 built around a smooth, shell-like upper, the all-purple execution gives the shoe a liquid, almost molded-from-one-piece feel. Glossy side panels bring a sharper finish across the profile, while mesh on the tongue and collar adds texture to an otherwise streamlined build. Tonal KD branding appears at the tongue, with small Swoosh hits worked into the forefoot and sidewall.
Design-wise, the KD 19 continues Nike’s recent run of sculpted basketball footwear, trading layered paneling for a more aerodynamic profile. The sidewall’s raised zig-zag detailing gives the shoe its main visual break, while the low-cut build keeps it tied to the guard-forward direction that has shaped Durant’s line over the past several years.
The Nike KD 19 “Purple Stuff” will release on June 17 via Nike.com and select retailers. Pricing is expected to be $155.
