Nike Basketball is preparing to bring back one of the most significant Kobe releases with the return of the Nike Kobe 11 “Mamba Day,” expected for Summer 2026. Originally released as a Nike iD option on April 13, 2016—the day Kobe Bryant played his final NBA game—the sneaker quickly became a grail among Kobe collectors.
The upcoming retro will release in the same form as the pair many remember, featuring a black engineered mesh upper covered in gold lettering. Those details include dates and stats highlighting key moments from Bryant’s career, cementing the pair as a wearable tribute to his legacy. A metallic gold Swoosh provides contrast across the sidewalls, while Kobe’s personal logos hit the tongue and heel. The design is completed with a translucent outsole for a modern finish.
Unlike the original Nike iD release, which allowed for customizable options, this 2026 edition of the Nike Kobe 11 “Mamba Day” will arrive in a standardized retail version. Still, it brings back the essence of that final farewell, bridging nostalgia with updated construction.
The Nike Kobe 11 “Mamba Day” will return Summer 2026 for $220 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
