It appears the OG “Bruce Lee” Kobe 5 will be joining the previously-previewed and new White edition, with reports floating through of its impending release.
Memorably worn by Kobe and his teammates during their 2010 championship run, the pair became an instant favorite for footwear fans and pro hoopers alike, with the colorway going on to inspire further Kobe releases and colorways for his protege Kyrie Irving’s signature line. For 2020, you can expect a one-for-one replication of 2010’s original pair, including bold yellow and black blocking all over, popped with vibrant hits of red in the rear, underfoot and on the forefoot claw motifs. Pairs of the 2020 Protro reissue went into production in early December 2019 and finished in February of this year, but with Kobe Bryant releases still on hold in honor of the Mamba’s untimely death, we don’t yet know exactly when Nike will be releasing the set.
And if you didn’t catch it, official images for the alternate White Bruce Lee Kobe 5 have also arrived!
