Bryant’s latest preview of unreleased Nike Kobe Protros included a new Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Eagles,” a colorway that brings Kobe Bryant’s Philadelphia roots back into focus.
The pair arrives in a clean green, white, and grey palette that immediately nods to the Philadelphia Eagles, the NFL team Kobe famously supported. The upper pairs rich green suede panels with white leather overlays, while a dark textured Swoosh sits outlined in white across the sides. A small football detail appears near the heel, further tying the colorway back to the gridiron.

The connection is a natural one. Though Kobe built his basketball legacy in Los Angeles, he was born in Philadelphia and remained tied to the city throughout his life. His Eagles fandom became part of that story, making this Kobe 5 Protro feel like a direct nod to both his hometown and his love for the team.
The Nike Kobe 5 Protro remains one of the sharper low-top models from Bryant’s signature line, and this “Eagles” edition gives the silhouette a more understated sports crossover look compared to some of the louder pairs Vanessa previewed.
The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Eagles” is expected to release on January 17, 2027 for $190.
