The Next Nike Kybrid S2 Arrives on October 16th

It’s now evident that the Kyrbrid S2 silhouette runs the recurrent Nike Hoops “What The” thematic across all of its releases, sharing print, character, and pattern elements of famous Kyrie releases past. But it’s not just the colorway and its embellishments that are mix-and-match. The silhouette in itself is a What The of sorts, features design elements from Kyries kicks past — this year focusing on the Kyrie Four, Five, and Six. Staring at the base is the Nike Kyrie 4, in which the pair’s sole unit and forefoot are derived. The Kyrie 5’s famous Flytrap lace cover rides the vamp, while the rear-end is ripped straight from the Kyrie 6. As for the color blocking and mixed bag of motifs — where do we start? There’s too much to go into, but notably, the “Lobster” gingham hits the lining along the left foot, simple camo outfits the lateral just below, Zebra graphics sublimate onto the strap opposite, and much more is paired together in a universal black and white scheme, and is popped with bright neon pink and volt, as well as more ominous teal.
