OG Post // After a long-winded run of leaks and first looks, today we get our first official shots of the Nike Kyrie 6 — or is that the Nike Air Yeezy 2? 🧐
It does seem to arrive heavily inspired by the iconic Nike sneaker, which also happens to be one of Kyrie’s favorite off-court sneakers. That vibe comes mainly from the collar, protruding heel piece, the shape and size of the large ankle overlay, and the midfoot lockdown strap, the latter returning to the Kyrie series for the first time since the Kyrie 2. Zoom Turbo looks to reinforce the pop at the forefoot, while vibrancy is retained underfoot, thanks to his all-seeing eye logo covering the tread’s pattern. That’s just one of many onlooking eyes, with the pair sporting more sets of peepers than a double-headed spider. Official looks at the “Grand Purple” Kyrie 6 shows a multitude of all-seeing-eyes, appearing on the heel panels, on the insoles, outsoles, forefoot strap, and an oversized looker just above the lateral Swoosh. The latter shows some incredible detail when seen close up (peep the very last image below for a close-up!)
As for colors, the pair arrives in an all-over Grand Purple, woven in a Coogi-style pattern at the toe, with the ankle overlays arriving in suede. Tongue, midsoles, liners, and laces all match the title color, while a big, bold vibrant hit of purple-red hits the heel panels. Quick flashes of yellow, green and red arrive on the lacing system and tongue logos, while bold white Swooshed and outsoles complete the design.
