Despite the Tokyo 2020 Olympics being postponed – along with the rest of the world- due to the COVID-19 crisis, we are still seeing patriotic-themed colorways being released into the marketplace in what would have been the lead-up to the games. Nike Air Max 270, adidas Ultra-BOOSTand most recently Nike VaporMax 3.0have all adorned the nationalistic colors, now this Nike Kyrie 6 “USA” joins the list.
Perhaps now repurposed for Fourth of July celebrations, this new pairs focal tone of navy is dressed upon the uppers mesh constructions, strap detailing, nubuck qaurter paneling, and heel moldings. Underfoot is a white-grey mid and outsole for a contrasting anchor of the design, and — in true Kyrie fashion — a mind-boggling “All-seeing eye” collage on the shoe lining and tongue. Finishing off this national treasure is a vibrant red, located on the geometric Gradient Swoosh, tongue insignia, forefoot Zoom Air decal, and the finer stitchings of the lower lace eyelets.
Check out the official photos below, and look for this Kyrie 6 to release on April 24th at select retailers and Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $130 USD.
