As part owner of the sporting club, LeBron James undoubtedly has some pull when it comes to Liverpool FC’s official Nike merchandise. His 2010 LeBron 9 “Liverpool” served as a nod to LeBron’s acquisition of a minority stake in the English Premier League powerhouse, which has grown from a $6.5 Million investment to over $32 Million love the course of a decade. Earlier this year, Nike issued an inverted colorway to honor that investment, and now another, with this Nike LeBron 20 “Liverpool” expected to hit shelves early this year.
Expected to release alongside the recently-revealed Air Max 1 in honor of The Reds, this takes a more traditional approach to the team’s colors. Here, a majority of red release works through a suede upper, mesh and leather tongue, and EVA foam midsole, with Swooshes of reptilian texture. The underlying Check is fixed in black, so too are the rubber outsoles and select brand marks to complete the design.
