LeBron James has set a number of records throughout his NBA career. Several of them are being commemorated via the Nike LeBron 23, a milestone signature model for the 40-year-old athlete. One such feat being immortalized on the sneaker is the fact that James has played the most NBA Christmas Games in history.
Part of the expansive Forever King initiative, the sneaker sees a "Bright Crimson/Dusty Amethyst/Barely Volt/Multi-Color" medley that's sure to get spectators into the holiday spirit. The pair features a series of patterns and textures across its engineered mesh and molded construction as nods to the festive occasion. Gift-wrapping-inspired elements land on the Nike Basketball offering, with L and J-shaped stockings appearing on the spines; a similarly-shaped charm accompanies "King James"' shoe, giving fans another collectible in the process.
As with all other 22 pairs of the LeBron 23, the "Stocking Stuffer" style is accompanied by a graphic t-shirt that nods to James' record in a playful manner.
The festive basketball shoe is expected to release via Nike.com on Friday, Dec. 26, in Men's and Big Kids' sizing.
