Up until the recently-released collaboration from CDG, the Nike Air Foamposite lineage has seen a significant stall — for the adults at least. The kids, however, have experienced a steady run of exclusives, from whimsical Moon Man and Bodega Bag-themed drops, to this all-new Nike Little Postie One “Mix CD”
Though those who will fit these shoes won’t even know what burning a CD is (or was), we parents can relive memories vicariously through the footwear we choose for our little humans. With iridescent overlays and hand-written “Posite Mix ’97” in the rear, one is immediately taken back to the front seat of a mid-90’s Honda Civic, popping in a mix of Tony! Toni! Toné!, Keith Sweat, and Aaliyah’s greatest hits. Moving along to the shell upper of bright aqua, black and red trim (inclusive of an eject button on the inner tongue), and jet black midfoot shanks, the pair is finished off by a milky-translucent outsole, complete with an apparent tracklist underfoot — though it’s very hard to decipher the written text from the official imagery.
