Nike’s brief intermission of Air Max 1 releases really didn’t sit well for a lot of Air Max heads around the globe, many of which think it should be a year-rounder release. Bu with the Swoosh putting the OG Air Max silhouette on ice while they focused on their birthday models in the Air Max 90 and Air Max 95, many have been left waiting patiently for the next “Anniversary” constructed release — the last of which was seen back in 2018. But all good things come to those who wait, with Nike set to reinstate the historical line with an all-new Air Max 1 “Evergreen”
Uppers of this Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette keep their Anniversary white bases and soft grey paneling across the midfoot and heel, allowing the title color to get to work over the pairs typical accentuations; Green suede mudguard, Swooshes, uppermost eyelets, and tongue/heel branding provide the pair its character. Classic white midsoles and translucent Air units sit atop a tri-tone rubber outsole to complete the design.
