Nike Presents MLB's 2026 City Connect Collection for Eight Franchises

Major League Baseball (MLB) and NIKE, Inc. have just unveiled the next installment of City Connect jerseys.

The highly-popular edition of uniforms is back with more carefully thought out, visually-appealing designs. The inaugural capsule sees jerseys for eight MLB teams—including the Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, and Texas Rangers.

More designs are expected to surface soon.

Atlanta Braves

Inspired by the club’s classic powder blue uniforms from the 1980s.

Design elements include:

• Updated "Atlanta" script logo on the front of the jersey
• Red-colored piping references vintage style
• "ATL" sleeve patch remembers old superstition era logo
• V-neck collar informed from players input

The Atlanta Braves 2026 City Connect uniform will be accompanied by a powder blue cap featuring a blue bill, red piping, and updated 3D Cooperstown "a" logo.

Baltimore Orioles

Inspired by the club’s iconic ballpark Camden Yards.

Design elements include:

• Sleeve patch referencing Eutaw Street's brass plaques
• "BMORE" and oriole embroidery on the front of the jersey
• 19th century scoreboard clock on jock tag
• Orange trimming nod to Baltimore's brickwork

The Baltimore Orioles 2026 City Connect uniform will be accompanied by an off white cap featuring an orange bill, black panels, and Camden "B" logo. The symbol was built into the end seats when Cameden Yards first opened.

Cincinnati Reds

Inspired by the club’s inaugural City Connect edition and bold red identity.

Design elements include:

• Pinstripes down the jersey in a tone-on-tone style
• Darker shade of red on sleeves as a nod to the team's vest-style jersey from the past
• Tyler Davidson Fountain sleeve graphic

The Cincinnati 2026 City Connect uniform will be accompanied by red cap featuring pinstripes and a new "C" logo.

Kansas City Royals

Inspired by the idea of "Forever Fountains," which celebrates community bound together by honor, resilience, and optimism.

Design elements include:

• Gradient treatment referencing the "City of Fountains" logo adopted in 1991
• Updated "R" logo nodding to the team's original mark from 1969
• Heart patch on the sleeve to celebrate Kansas City as the U.S.A.'s heartland

The Kansas City Royals 2026 City Connect uniform will be accompanied by cap done in a blue-and-purple gradient, featuring a minimalist crown logo.

Milwaukee Brewers

Inspired by the entire "Badger State"— its beer gardens, fish boils, supper clubs, and more.

Design elements include:

• Blue-and-cream color treatment nods to Wisconsin's bodies of water and sandy shores
• Orange, yellow, and blue accents recreate watercolor sunsets; a gradient animates wordmarks, sleeve patches, and number trims
• "Wisco" text on the center of the jersey's front and a "Brewers" jock tag pay homage to tradition with their script font
• A bobber-and-baseball jock tag nod to Wisconsin’s favorite pastimes
• Braids on the jersey shoulder-sleeve and pant celebrate the importance of fields and farms to the state's identity
• Sleeve patch introduces a fresh take on Barrelman
• "Forward" state motto displayed on the uniform collar

The Milwaukee Brewers 2026 City Connect uniform will be accompanied by a blue cap featuring a script "W" logo and outline of the Badger State.

Pittsburgh Pirates

Inspired by the club’s unmistakable black-and-yellow signature colors.

Design elements include:

• Front wordmark done in a rugged "pirate" style
• Sharp red accents nod to the bandana design on the Jolly Roger
• Subtle details reflect the grit, toughness, and pride that defines the city's residents
• Sleeve emblem rooted in the spirit of a pirate

The Pittsburgh Pirates 2026 City Connect uniform will be accompanied by a yellow cap featuring a black bill and Jolly Roger logo.

San Diego Padres

Inspired by the club’s binational region and Día de Muertos​​ celebration.

Design elements include:

• La Catrina sleeve patch
• Papel picado jock tag
• Subtle details reflect the grit, toughness, and pride that defines the city's residents
• Marigold pattern on the trim of the jersey seleeves and the braids on the bone-colored pants

The San Diego Padres 2026 City Connect uniform will be accompanied by a bone cap, obsidian bill, and floral pattern on the interior, completed by a two-tone "SD" logo.

Texas Rangers

Inspired by the club’s past and the Mexican influence woven into Texas' identity.

Design elements include:

• "Tejas" wordmark on the front of the jersey
• Letter style referencing the team's '80s uniforms
• Cochineal red draws from a crimson dye sacred to Mexican culture
• Papel picado-inspired Texas state shape as a sleeve patch
• Intricate embroidery across the jersey draw from mariachi attire
• "Viva Tejas" jock tag

The Texas Rangers 2026 City Connect uniform will be accompanied by a red cap featuring a classic block "T" logo dating back to 1972. Its raised weave honors Mexican craftsmanship.
