A mash-up of the Pegasus’ past, the Nike P-6000 is everything a dad shoe dreams of. From breathable mesh uppers to aggressive horizontal and vertical overlays for an early-2000s running look. Ever since it hit shelves in 2019, the silhouette has sporadically surfaced in themed Nike collections — the next joining the Swoosh’s impending “Athletic Department” and “Bowerman Series” at once.
Written on the insoles and tongues, the pair identifies to both series of sneakers, and it also benefits from the industry’s obsession with aged-look outcomes. Here, beige mesh uppers and white leather overlays resemble an old pair that simply can’t come clean. It’s midsoles, too, features a tint oft seen on your shoes after a 5-setter at Roland Garros. But its’ not all muted, earthy hues, as Nike has tacked on striking royal blue bookends at the heel and toe, and vivacious lime green along the tongue and insole branding.
See for yourself below, and expect to see this new Nike P-6000 “Athletic Department” hit select Swoosh stockists soon. As always, be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further developments.
