Following the launch of its Pegasus 37, Nike is furthering its famed lineage with its newest outdoor-running model: the Pegasus Trail 2.
The two are new Pegasus options share the same DNA, with the Tail 2 being merely a trail-ready upgrade, including updates to its durability and responsiveness. Both benefits are primarily achieved with the silhouette’s Nike React encased in a thick and rugged rubber outsole, but the upgrades aren’t exclusive to the outsole. uppers arrive with reinforcement at the toe and vamp by-way-of a clog-like encasement, complete with accessibility pull in the rear. Ripstop covers the quarter, offering a touch of water-resistance to the Neoprene uppers.
First up we have to color options in a colorful Barely Volt/Laser Blue/Poison Green, and subdued selection in Pure Platinum/Fossil/Limelight/Laser Orange. It is at all possible that we will see these outdoor options arrive in both GORE-TEX and ACG-inspired finishes — and there’s whispers of these even ending up on Nike’s customizable Nike By You platform in the future.
