Season 2020 is full of fresh starts for six-time All-Star Paul George. He’s returned home to So Cal for the first time in his career, and for the first time in a long time, he looks to be enjoying his basketball. His next signature sneaker, the Nike PG 4, is also getting a refresh, with an all-new cushioning tech called “Air Strobel.” The new Air layout comes in place of the previous silhouette’s forefoot Zoom Air and is visible through a window beneath the outsole. Its encased in a chunky EVA midsole and an icy translucent outsole that boasts circular traction pads. The upper makes use of a zippered shell – similar to that of the adidas Dame 6 — and utilizes both loosely and tightly woven mesh on the medial and lateral respectively. Beneath the shroud are some distinct lace fixtures in silver and bright crimson red, allowing for full lockdown and containment
The Nike PG 4 is expected to release on January 24th, 2020 at select Swoosh Hoops houses like Finish Line and Nike.com. A price point for the pair is yet to be announced but we’re tipping it’ll remain around the $160 mark
