Paul George is a big game player both on the court and off it. Not only is the 7-time NBA All-Star a killer on the court, but he’s a fiend for PlayStation. The LA Clipper has so much love for the console system that he, Nike, and Sony have frequently visited the gaming system for special collaborative efforts over the years. And, as reported earlier this week, the trio will reunite for a special two-piece pack of Nike PG 5 “PlayStation” releases.
The first — and likely only — pair to see a widespread retail release will be the white option, a color that channels the new PS5 console’s outer shell. The mostly white release is met by signature PS5 royal blue hues at the forefoot, branding, and midsole streak, while jet blacks engulf the collar, liner, tongue, and laces. The aforementioned branding hits the tongue in both PS and PG motifs, while fore for Swooshes strike the medial side. Midsoles return to a crisp white hue, before settling atop a black-to-blue gradient outsole. Completing the design is a special co-branded hangtag, co-branded insoles, and dual lace options in black and blue.
Grab an official look at the Nike PG 5 “PlayStation” that has been officially listed on Nike SNKRS for June 17th (originally set for May 27th) with pairs arriving from 10 am ET for $120. A release date for the alternate blue pair has not yet been set.
If you are planning on picking up a pair on the day, make sure you head to our dedicated Nike Release Dates Calendar to set yourself a reminder for the drop.
