The Ultra-Vibrant “Pirate Parrot” React Presto Arrives Soon

Nike’s Presto range has found inspiration form some strange, strange places — like the OG “Rabid Panda” — but this next rendition is as wild as it gets, and it arrives with an equally wild color palate. The 32-bit motif on the insoles gives us the biggest clue to what the inspiration for the pair is: Pirate Parrots. And once I found that (I had to tilt my head way to the side to see it) the entire sneaker starting making a lot more sense.

Sporting a vibrantly-hued upper, mimicking that of a parrot — a pirate’s best friend — the pair moves from vivid pink at the toe, to golden yellow and greens at the tongue, before moving to shocking blues, teals, and pinks in the rear. Ble appears once more on the midsole detail, while a translucent-black rubber outsole wraps the Reat foam midsole. Completing the design is a white lace cage, black laces, and an eyepatch-like suede lacestay at the tongue — makes sense right?
