Nike’s new ISPA initiative, short for “Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, Adapt,” is designed to meet the needs of a modern-day commuter who’s navigating the urban jungle, utilizing elements of footwear design for the great outdoors.
After the successful debut of the mid-cut ISPA React Runner and the sophomore ISPA Air Max 270 SP SOE was the division’s third silhouette, the Nike React WR ISPA — their first low-cut offering. That Debut trio was water-resistant, hence the WR, but the follow-up three-piece back of the sneaker has been tweaked for Summer wear.
Similar in shape to the React Element 87 and 55, the Nike React ISPA keeps the recognizable plugged midsole, shape, pulls and lacing system untweaked, but incorporates an all-new open-mesh upper, which encases a perforated bootie — perfect for letting in that cooling Summer breeze.
Just like ISPA’s low cut WR debut, we will also be getting three colorways; Ghost Aqua, Dusty Peach and Pure Platinum, all arriving at select stores like SNSand Noir France on June 6th, 2019..
