WNBA superstar Sabrina Ionescu and her Nike Basketball Family are using their recent visit to China to unveil their long-anticipated Sabrina 4 signature model.
Since its debut in September 2023, the Nike Sabrina line has been widely-popular amongst hoopers of all levels, with professionals in both the NBA and WNBA co-signing Ionescu's footwear during regular season and playoffs games. Fans will be happy to see that the Sabrina 4 is an incremental evolution from the Sabrina 3 instead of a complete overhaul of the line—a move that mirrors the New York Liberty guard's own approach to the game.
"Every year, I work on my game, finding any area of opportunity to add or improve. And that is exactly what we are doing with my shoe and my entire line — innovating in the right places while still keeping that Sabrina-feel that players everywhere know and love," shared Ionescu in an official press release for her fourth Nike Basketball shoe.
The Sabrina 4 pushes the boundaries of design to deliver a more modern silhouette—most notably across the forefoot. The sneaker features a TPU FlyPlate for the first time in Ionescu's Nike Basketball signature series. This detail draws inspiration from race day-ready Nike Running footwear like the record-breaking AlphaFly 3 marathon shoe, enabling a sprinter's launch off sensation on the hoops shoe. A forefoot Air Zoom unit and Cushlon 3.0 foam midsole provides a responsive, comfortable ride at any stage of the game.
Other design elements included in the Sabrina 4 are:
- Carved collar shape for enhanced mobility
- Perforated tongue for improved ventilation
- Compression-molded vamp that adapts to each wearer's feet
- Multi-directional "S"-shaped rubber tread for reliable grip across sudden movements
Ionescu's Romanian heritage is explored once more across the basketball shoe's lightweight upper, which sees a new haptic print inspired by the country's craftsmanship. The "S"-inspired pattern transitions into a lowercase "i" as it moves from the heel to the forefoot, though the spine sees a large "i" that references Ionescu's last name. Lastly, vertical medial Swooshes represent the barriers the University of Oregon alum has broken throughout her career and serve as reminders to all wearers that they can do the same.
The fourth Nike Sabrina shoe has been unveiled alongside another signature collection for the WNBA champion. Made up of essentials for any hooper, the apparel items are built with Aero-FIT cooling technology, an innovative material that's also seen on the 2026 World Cup™ kits by Nike. Aero-FIT is manufactured from 100% textile waste, contributing to NIKE, Inc.'s eco-friendly goals.
The Sabrina 4 and accompanying signature collection will globally launch via Nike.com and select shops in July 2026.
