Nike SB Dunk Low “Tie-Dye Raygun” Tributes the Late Sandy Bodecker

Re-releasing bonafide classics from the Nike SB Dunkarchive has always been a sticking point for a lot of old heads. Some love the fact that they can now either double up or finally obtain that grail piece — others (usually the grumpy old men) contest. I understand that they want to keep rare, rare. But if you’ve got the OG’s they’ll always be worth more in monetary and sentimental terms. But these new editions of 2005’s iconic “Raygun” might challenge that — the former at least — arriving as a special tribute to Nike SB Godfather Sandy Bodecker, according to SB experts @nikesbornothing. The tye-dye finish also links in well to the era of the fictional basketball team that inspires it, thus making it a doubly-fitting reissue.

Both the “Home” and “away” colorways are set to release on December 27th, with the black “Home” pairs also dropping in grade school and toddler sizing at an array of Nike and Nike SB dealers, with the white edition remaining a skate shop exclusive.
