The Holiday 2024 season came and went, leaving countless sneaker enthusiasts with some of the year's most-compelling products. One such example is the Nike SB Dunk Low 'Wizard of Oz'.
To kick off 2025, a number of skate shops restocked the special drop, allowing fans another shot at the story-driven pair. Some lucky customers were treated to a more special surprise: an alternate 'golden ticket' edition of the Nike SB release.
Shared across Instagram by David, owner of Bluetile Skateboards in Columbia, S.C., the second version–initially thought to be a Friends & Family-exclusive–of the shoes doubles-down on the Wizard of Oz inspiration. A sequin-reminiscent material covers the entirety of the upper, which is made to resemble Dorothy's iconic ruby red slippers. A flame graphic appears on the toe, while the pair's lining uses the same blue found on the protagonist's dress. Additional insoles further differentiate the newly-surfaced Nike Dunks from those that launched late last year.
The 'Red Slipper' SB Dunk Low isn't slated for a wide retail launch.
