Just last month, Nike SB team rider Ishod Wair revealed that he would be finally receiving his first signature sneaker — the Nike SB Ishod. Of course, this came after leaks of the design had surfaced, but nonetheless, it drummed up a little more hype. Now, after being seen in a handful of color options already, a firey new option has appeared in red and black.
Carrying a bit of old-school DNA, the pair nods past classics like the Air Jordan 1, Nuke Dunk, and Air Jordan 5 to name a few. Juxtaposed to that is a slew of contemporary touches, too, like the reverse Swooshes at the quarter, and protective foxing to diminish wear and tear. Here, it’s a striking mix of black and red remember Mike’s yesteryear, though it comes with an added skate classic in gum rubber outsoles to complete the design.
Though a release date for the design has not yet been revealed, the timing of the announcement and myriad of leaks would suggest that something is happening soon. With more news to follow on each pair, you’ll want to make sure that you keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
