SNKRS Code: Nike Introduces a New Password-Protected Launch Method

Nike is officially rolling out a new way to access limited releases on SNKRS, introducing SNKRS Code, a password-based launch system designed to add mystery, discovery, and story-driven interaction to select drops. The experience borrows from the early days of hidden links, scavenger hunts, and brand lore—giving collectors a new layer of engagement beyond the typical draw or first-come, first-served release.

According to Nike, SNKRS Code unlocks access to exclusive product only when users find and enter a secret password, or “Code.” These passwords can take several forms: trivia answers, lore-based keywords, special phrases, and other creative prompts. They may appear on Nike platforms, partner channels, social media posts, local events, or even hidden directly on the shoe you're trying to secure.

Each SNKRS Code launch is tailored to the story of the product. That means clues can surface in unusual places—threads within the app, videos, brand partners, or subtle references only seasoned collectors will catch. The unpredictability is part of the appeal, rewarding those who follow closely and act quickly.

Not every release will use SNKRS Code. Nike notes that it’s reserved solely for “special launches that deserve a little mystery, chase, and ultimate reward.” In some cases, code-protected products may also receive a wider public release later on. Others will remain exclusive to those who cracked the code.

Time sensitivity will play a major role. Code-protected drops may disappear quickly and won’t always be announced in advance. Nike encourages users to keep the SNKRS App updated and monitor upcoming launch calendars, SNKRS Live segments, and social channels where clues may appear.
