Nike's Black-Yellow Total 90 Laser Foot Boots Inspired This Jacket
Nike Football has given the world a glimpse of its kits for the 2026 World Cup™ thanks to the recent international break. And while the imprint is focused on innovation for modern figures the likes of Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, and Vinícius Júnior, it's also carved out space for some trips down memory lane.
Earlier in the month, official photos of a Total 90 Laser-inspired Air Max 90 emerged alongside a pair referencing the Hypervenom I once co-signed by Neymar. The former football boot from 2009, however, has now inspired a Nike Woven Jacket.
For the uninformed, the Total 90 Laser was a set of football boots worn by the likes of Wayne Rooney and Rafael Márquez. Marketed as a marksman's boot, the design was rooted in the T90 series once co-signed by Luís Figo and other legendary footballers throughout the mid-2000s. The Laser-iteration had a number of popular finishes, but it's most iconic look coupled yellow-and-black tones—officially "Zest/Fire Red/Gym Red/Black"—across a bold, performance-first package.
More than 15 years later, the beloved boots lend their look to Nike apparel.

As seen across the Total 90 III indoor's ongoing retro run, the Total 90 Laser featured large, unmissable "90" branding. The tongue and laces weren't offset anymore, but still catered to striking, amplifying the strike zone with plastic overlays. The same radial detail appears on the newly-surfaced jacket—specifically the backside.
The zip-up, hood-less woven piece sees "Lightning"-colored Swoosh and "90" logos on the right and left chest, respectively. Strips along the sleeves follow suit, contrasting the pitch-"Black" seen throughout the bulk of the jacket. Lastly, red "totalninety laser" text lands on the right sleeve, further referencing Nike Football heritage on a fashionable piece for lifestyle use.
In e-commerce photography for the Woven Jacket, the model is wearing the matching T90 Laser Air Max 90, further strengthening the intersection between sport, style, and culture.
Enjoy a closer look at the black-and-yellow jacket ahead. The product should release via Nike.com and select stores before June arrives. Additional styles could surface by then.
