Nike's $90 V5 RNR Delivers A Trendy 'Bright Ceramic' Look On April 1

At its core, Nike is a running brand. Over the last decade, the company might've deviated ever-so-slightly from this focus, but recent memory has seen it overhaul not only its performance lineup, but also add new designs to its lifestyle range. One such example of the latter is the V5 RNR.

Rooted in Y2K aesthetics, the silhouette delivers a compelling, on-trend look for less than $100. Ensembles reminiscent of old school Nike Pegasus and Air Zoom Spiridon offerings have already landed on the sneaker, with a 'Bright Ceramic/Platinum Tint' look adding yet another tally to the Nike V5 RNR's retro-inspired catalog.

Citrusy flaier animates the mesh base layer, as well as branding accents on the tongue and profiles. Lace loops and the stability component at the mid-foot also follow suit. Synthetic overlays across the upper opt for the shimmering silver tones commonly seen on trendy models from ASICS, although the Swoosh's choice is firmly rooted in its own running product from yesteryear. The chunky midsole abandons any top-notch Cushlon, ZoomX, or ReactX found in modern-day performance products, but still delivers a comfortable ride for a fraction of the price.
