Congruently, Nike has managed to establish both its hefty back catalog and its modern, sustainable programs as significant focal points for their product, with retro running lines and the Earth-friendly Space Hippe linage spearheading the brand’s efforts in 2020. Though we quite often see inspirations crossover from division to division, the VaporMax 2020 has often stayed well within its own lineage. This next option looks outside of their walls for inspiration, coming by-way-of a famed Nike Flyknit Racer colorway that dominated the streets back in 2015. The “Oreo” VaporMax 2020 tributes the revered runner with uncanny marled white, grey, and black weaves, while the Swoosh sits prominently on the lateral in white, as often is the case for these kinds of weaves. Blacks of the collar and rear clips are reminiscent of Oreo VaporMax past, while further monochrome accentuations arrive on the pulls and rear lock system. The pair is complete with signature stain glass-like tongues, translucent VaporMax Air systems, and grind rubber traction pads.
