First Look at Nike’s “University Red” and “Game Royal” Vaporposite Pro Cleats

Nike’s long-running tradition of translating its most iconic basketball designs into football-ready gear continues, with first looks now surfacing of two upcoming Vaporposite Pro cleats for Fall 2026.

Following the debut of the “Pearl” colorway on Thanksgiving — a direct nod to the Air Foamposite One — the Swoosh is expanding the gridiron-ready line with new “University Red” and “Game Royal” editions. Both pairs were recently previewed alongside other upcoming Nike cleated footwear, giving us our best look yet at how the Foamposite-inspired design is continuing to move from hardwood history to football turf.

The first-look images confirm that both pairs stay close to the Vaporposite’s shell-like formula. Each colorway features a molded Foamposite-style exterior, black upper bootie construction, tonal lacing, oversized metallic Swoosh branding along the lateral side, and a smaller Swoosh at the forefoot. Underfoot, the design is built with a football-ready cleated plate for traction and on-field movement.

The “University Red” pair leads with a university red molded shell, paired with a black upper and metallic silver Swoosh detailing. The result feels directly in line with Nike’s history of turning basketball icons into statement-making football cleats, while still carrying a team-ready finish that should translate well across high school, college, and professional programs.

The “Game Royal” version follows the same layout, swapping the red shell for a deep royal blue finish. Like the red pair, it keeps the black bootie-style upper and metallic Swoosh branding intact, giving the two colorways a clear shared identity while offering different team color options.

The Vaporposite Pro line continues to pull heavily from the visual language of the Air Foamposite One, using sculpted ridges and a glossy molded shell to create one of Nike Football’s most recognizable cleat designs. With “University Red” and “Game Royal,” the model looks set to add two of its cleanest team-driven colorways yet.

The Nike Vaporposite Pro Football Cleats in “University Red” and “Game Royal” are expected to release in Fall 2026 via Nike.com and select retailers.
