The Nike Zoom Freak 1 “Skills Academy” Flexes Iridescent and Translucent Finishes

The Freak continues to flex 💪🏽

The NBA MVP’s signature sneaker may only be a couple of months old, but Nike and Giannis continue to flex their creative muscle with yet another colorway hitting the internet this week. This “Skills Academy” Zoom Freak 1, though, will likely remain exclusive to those who made it along to the Greek Freak’s invite-only camp.

This special edition colorway of the Nike Zoom Freak 1 tacks on a translucent upper, showcasing neon greens and oranges beneath. Orange appears again on the liner and outsole, with a bold navy hitting the tongues, laces, heel, and midsole for some much-needed contrast — the latter scattered with seemingly randomized letting for effect. Capping off the design are colorful iridescent branding hits on the tongue’s GA and Swoosh icons, and heroed on the oversized midsole Check.
