Before Virgil Abloh left this earth, he seemingly left us a handful of little gifts for the world to enjoy posthumously. From Air Jordan 2 collaborations to the recently-revealed “Graffiti” Air Force 1 Mids, Abloh — c/o his OFF-WHITE imprint — added the final chapters an incredible legacy. With Nike soon to premiere a four-day experience dedicated to his design process at Art Basel, both he and the Swoosh have another opportunity to add to that legacy, with the Swoosh using the event to launch one of his final designs, the OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Terra Forma.

First leaked back in October, the sneaker is Virgil’s first original sneaker to be released under the Nike banner. Designed by both Nike designers as well as Virgil Abloh himself, the model expands upon the cross-category athletics and outdoor elements introduced by the streetwear label’s Terra Kiger 5, as well as their recent run of Air Force 1 Mids. Boasting track spikes signature to both of those silhouettes, the pair works in other classic OFF-WHITE elements like subtle deconstruction and overlaid text, all whilst bringing in pieces of retro hoops shoes across the forefoot overlays and tongues and Balengiaca-like midfoot rises; the design really is a mishmash of everything.
