Over the past few seasons, we’ve begun to see more and more of Nike’s classic silhouettes repurposed for the fairways. From Air Jordan 1s and 12s, to a slew of Air Max classics, the greens have been set ablaze by Nike, who themselves have obviously found a new love for the sport. For its next, Nike will repurpose the original Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Max, with first and official looks at the Nike Air Max 1 Golf “Sport Red” appearing this week.
Aside from the modified sole unit underfoot, the pair arrives true to the OG, with both material and color-blocking on-point, unlike 2019’s effort that saw glaze overlays. But what that 2019 release had that this doesn’t is a more traditional sole unit; This release slims things down — right down — elongates the bubble, and equips it with a multi-colors spike sole.
Though a release date for the Nike Air Max 1 Golf “Sport Red” was not noted, it is expected to hit the links in early 2023 — so be sure to keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter account for further updates.
