Building on the massive popularity of the Dunk Low “Panda,” Nike has replenished the style multiple times in just the past year. Its omnipresence has not only elevated it to iconic status but also motivated a number of other Swoosh classics to adopt its distinguished black-and-white color palette. The Air Max 1 is the latest model to join this trend.
In this iteration, the Air Max 1, the work of renowned designer Tinker Hatfield, dons the same harmonious black and white hues as its Dunk sibling. The shoe's mudguard and Swoosh, both slightly textured, are adorned in black, perfectly complementing other similarly colored elements such as the eyelets and branding. The rest of the shoe is enveloped in white, a choice that extends from the mesh underlay to the overlays and midsole, creating a sleek, monochromatic look.
Grab an official look at this upcoming Nike Air Max 1 “Panda” below, and look for these to land at select Swoosh stockists like Finish Line and JD Sports on October 5th.
