Patta's collaboration with Nike continues to redefine sneaker culture, and their latest venture is no exception. Merging decades of innovative design, Patta revisits the Air Huarache lineage with a fresh perspective, blending the classic Air Huarache Plus from 1994 with contemporary elements from the Pegasus 40. This unique hybrid, part of the Patta x Nike Air Huarache 20Y24 Pack, follows the appearance of a sample White colorway, indicating a new chapter in their long-standing partnership.
This innovative pack unveils three colorways, each infusing the Air Huarache Plus upper with distinctive flair. The Black colorway features a neutral base of black, grey, and sail tones, accented with vivid orange and red, highlighting the sneaker's neoprene and branding elements. The Saffron Quartz option delves into a more adventurous palette, combining yellow leather overlays with a grey mesh base topped with a striking blue pattern on the neoprene.
The White pair revealed earlier as a sample, showcases white leather overlays, a grey base, and playful pink accents. The tongue tag proudly displays a black panther logo encircled by "Air Huarache By Patta" text, underscoring the collaboration's unique identity. This co-branding extends to the heel tab and insole, seamlessly marrying both brands' aesthetics.
The sample Huarache, a nod to Tinker Hatfield's Air Huarache Trainer 94, features a harmonious blend of mesh and neoprene, complemented by leather overlays. Eye-catching lockdown straps in pink pay homage to Hatfield's '90s designs, with the “By Patta” emblem on the tongue introducing a red-colored “X” and the black panther graphic.
The Pegasus 40’s sole unit elevates the design, integrating an Air Zoom-cushioned foam midsole for superior comfort and performance, topped off with a durable rubber outsole. Patta's meticulous attention to detail extends to the packaging, including co-branded paper, box top, and a special towel featuring the black panther logo as a collector's item.
The Patta x Nike Air Huarache 20Y24 Pack, set for release in 2024, represents a unique fusion of past and future Nike designs, promising to captivate fans new and old.
