Where to Buy the Slam Jam x Nike Air Force 1 Low
Founded by Luca Benini back in 1989, Slam Jam has become not only one of the world’s leading streetwear retailers but one of the industry’s most notable collaborators. Working with the likes of Vans, New Balance, and Nike — the latter most recently in 2020 with a duo of experimental Nike Dunk Highs. Now, just two years on, Slam Jam returns to Beverton to celebrate the Air Force 1’s 40th anniversary, with two special-edition efforts in Slam Jam-specific monochrome.
Prepared in both black and white options, the collaboration adds, removes, and remixes the classic’s core construction. Woven mid panels are surrounded by leathers, and suede Swooshes reflect a finish akin to the shoe’s original appearance in 1982. They’ve then gone and tweaked the toe box perforations in the shape of the Slam Jam logo, inverted the rear branding on the heel overlays, and adjusted the standard lacing system with an intertwined system of strings. The design is then finished with tonal co-branded tongue tags, graphic insoles, and special Slam Jam packaging.
