Following the brand’s extensive mid-year collection, Nike N7, who is actively working with organizations towards the betterment of Native American youth, has prepped a mini capsule for Native American Heritage Month this November. Joining a select footwear and clothing collection is this Nike Air Max 1 N7 which commemorates the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
The pair, clad in earth-friendly “Taupe Haze” and “Light Orewood Brown” tones, are complemented by haptic graphic mudguard and Swoosh overlays that honor the vibrant patterns of certain Native artwork, all whilst paying tribute to the gifts given at the Tribe’s traditional naming ceremonies. Sporadic splashes of orange further animate the pair at the upper eyelet, tongue ad rear branding, and toe, the latter joining the outsole’s midfoot in featuring an outdoor-inspired fleck finish. Satin-like construction takes over the toe, collar, and tongue liner — a design choice that adds a luxurious touch to the meaningful project.
An official release date is still unknown, but the Air Max 1 N7 is already listed live here on Nike.com as ‘Coming Soon’ — indicating a release to be right around the corner. Until then, you can enjoy an official look at the pair ahead, and learn more about the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in the Dakotas here.
In related news, the Kyrie 6 has also appeared in a Standing Rock Sioux-tributing colorway for N7.
