Through his footwear collaborations with Nike, Tom Sachs has shown a penchant for all-encompassing footwear, inclusive of lifestyle-first Mars Yards, to literal moon boots. For 2022, the American artist has taken a more versatile approach with his new Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe — a multi-functional footwear delivery for all occasions. It’s touted as an “ordinary shoe for ordinary people,” despite its debut drop only landing in the hands of very few; There is more on the way, though, with this new iteration in tonal chocolate browns, the sixth colorway of the model to appear.

Dressed completely in tonal hues, the pair works from milk chocolate mesh uppers and color-matched suede overlays, with laces, Swooshes, and midsoles all donning significantly darker shades of brown. Added pulls and outsoles of black add little deviation from the dark hues presented elsewhere, with the bold white Nike-branded tongue tags rounding out the design.
