You're a "Loser" If You Buy Tom Sachs' Newest Nike Shoe
Tom Sachs recently took over the sneaker space with the launch of his NikeCraft Mars Yard 3.0. Those interested in the reworked silhouette could participate through the I.S.R.U. Camp platform throughout summer, accruing points for an invitation to purchase the shoe. Participants who failed to accumulate the proper number of points are being treated to a consolation prize: the General Purpose Participation Shoe.
Effectively a participation trophy, the pair was unveiled on the most recent episode of the Complex Sneakers Podcast. The GPPS employs a grey-and-yellow color scheme throughout its build, with nods to the I.S.R.U. program landing on the tongue, footbed, medial profile, and spine. The pair will only be offered to those who 1. Did not meet the requirements for the Mars Yard 3.0 and 2. Weren't gifted the Mars Yard through the platform.
Interested and eligible parties can head into their I.S.R.U. accounts to pre-order the $110 shoe between now and Friday, Oct. 3. The General Purpose Participation Shoe ships out during the Summer 2026 season.
