LA retailers Undefeated look to continue their partnership with Kobe Bryant posthumously with a very special edition of the Mamba’s fifth signature Nike silhouette. The cultural icons of LA will link up for this Undefeated x Nike Kobe 5 “Hall of Fame” which undoubtedly honors Bean’s impending Naismith induction this year.

From a first glance, you didn’t even need to know it’s HOF title to understand that this would be something special. It’s upper arrives drenched in metallic gold finishes, with striking purple and black accents centralizing around the popping midfoot gradient Swoosh in red-to-blue that honors his time with Team USA. Upon that Swoosh rests Kobe’s three career jersey numbers, whilst elsewhere you’ll find co-branding between Kobe, Undefeated, and Nike bulking out the remaining placements. Completing the design is a purple rubber outsole that’s fixed beneath a gradient effect to mimic the aforementioned Swoosh. A release date for the pair is yet to be specified, but you can expect it to arrive in very limited numbers later this year.

With the 2020 Naismith Hall of Fame induction postponed until 2021, plans for the Undefeated x Nike Kobe 5 “Hall of Fame” will be changing with it. Originally scheduled to release last year to coincide with Kobe’s induction, the pair had to be rescheduled to align with the new HOF 2020 induction date of May 15th. The sneakers, which will release exclusively at Undefeated.com, will release on May 12th via raffle (opening on 05/10 at 2:24 PM PST and end at 4:24 PM PST.) A Nike SNKRS release is yet to be determined.

Nike has confirmed a SNKRS release for the Undefeated x Nike Kobe 5 “Hall of Fame” for 10 am ET on Saturday, May 15th — the morning of Kobe’s posthumous HOF induction.
