If you've been following Wale since his days before dropping a single studio album, you should be well-aware of the Washington, D.C.-native's love for the Nike Air Max Goadome boot. In promotional material for his eighth studio album, everything is a lot, the 41-year-old artist unveiled an official collaboration with the Swoosh's All Conditions Gear team on another set of boots.
It's still unclear whether or not the Wale-branded, Air Max-assisted design will see a public release, but it's possible "Ralph Folarin" will gift pairs to dedicated fans through some sort of initiative or at a pop-up event in promotion of everything is a lot. As chronicled in "Breaking Down the Wale-Nike G.T. Future Connection," Wale and Nike ACG previously worked on a co-branded capsule, but the collaboration was relegated to a limited number of units—some of which the musician gifted to day-one fans.
History may repeat itself.
Unveiled with the help of Smino, the latest Air Max Goadome by Wale features elevated crocodile skin across the upper. Teaser shots of the project see dark shades of olive green and deep blue appear throughout the Nike Boots, as Carl Blakeslee's creation is often referred to (and as it was immortalized on record by Wale in 2007). An EIA tab is found on the pair's lateral side, nodding to the upcoming album's title. A blue crescent moon is found on the spine, likely nodding to Wale's Every Blue Moon record label and tour.
Fittingly, Wale embroidery also appears on the pair, further cementing the artist's connection to the world of sneakers and footwear-at-large.
Stay tuned for more details about the Nike Boots by Wale. Features found on everything is a lot have already gotten their pairs secured—including Leon Thomas, Shaboozey, Odeal, Ty Dolla $ign, Seyi Vibez, and others.
