The Nike Air Max Plus “Palm Pack” is Available Now

Paying homage to the OG.

Originally inspired by the oceanside — Designer Sean McDowell conceptualized the sneaker by beachside palms casting shadows in front of a breathtaking sunset — the Air Max Plus is no stranger to the tropics. It’s oxymoronic, though, with the city streets the environment held responsible for the silhouette’s 20-year success. But for their next take on the Tuned Air, the Swoosh will be swinging it back around full circle with this “Palm Pack” of Plus’.

while the original cage overlay inspo remains, each textile upper is printed with palm tree graphics, taking McDowell’s metaphorical design to the literal. One pair arrives in a cool blue and navy, representing the night, the other in a slightly more earthy green and white, depicting a day-time scenario. Each feature metallic silver overlays, a white midsole, and correspondingly colored cushioning units. And if you look a little bit closer at each Air Max heel pod on the medial side, you’ll notice a combo of red and orange — a sneaky tribute to the OG “Sunset” colorway.”
