Double-Dripped 💧💧
Nike is seemingly taking a leaf from their recent sacai collaborations, by double-layering a handful of their classic silhouettes, including this Nike Cortez — serving as a follow up to the duo of Air Force 1 Lows previewed last week. The pair follows a similar take on the recent trio of Air Max 1s, all of which look to borrow sacai’s double layering ethos as seen on their LDV Waffle and Nike Blazercollaborations. But Nike hasn’t gone all-out, leaving the layering to just the sneaker’s eyelets and the heel panel — but still opting for colorful layers countering off stark white bases.
This pair utilizes a patriotic pairing of red and navy to counter it’s white base, with both layered panels featuring the two colors. Navy features again on the lateral Swoosh, with another quick hit of red arriving on the midsole.
