We’ve sure missed seeing the vibrance of the Nike VaporMax Plus. The silhouette has been missing for a fair chunk of 2020 but has recently made a triumphant return by-way-of this elegant Black/Metallic Gold make — but it’s the color that we’ve missed. Well, Nike has answered our prayers, delivering us an ice-cold creation that’s just made for summer, the VaporMax Plus “Rocket Pop”

This ladies-exclusive release takes on a relatively simple blocking, with jet black caging, liners, and sole units enabling the gradient neoprene upper to stand center stage. The blue-to-white-to-red finish should be instantly recognizable to and Fire Cracker-devouring kids of yesteryear, with each hue melting into the other as it would on the famed ice pop on a scorching hot July afternoon. Capping off the design are the pair’s signature 3M reflective detail down the tongue and tow, and a vivid red midfoot shank underfoot.
